Definition of a Gardener: To have a knowledge and understanding of the way in which to care for, manage and develop plants.

If you were to look up the definition of gardener, I'm sure you'd see a picture of Liz LaPlume. Not only does Liz know how to care for plants and gardens, but she loves to share her knowledge with others and get them excited about gardening. During the summer one will see her with brown (well if we're being perfectly honest, black) hands, from being up to her elbows in rich soil; sun-kissed, from spending countless hours outdoors; and with a huge smile on her face. This is Liz in her glory! It was only natural that she take this love of gardening and share it with others by opening her own Greenhouse and Garden Center.

 

In 2015, Liz opened Kindred Gardens with full support from her husband Ken and family. Today, the business includes a gift barn, gardening classes for both children and adults, vegetable stand, florist center offering custom arrangements and live plants and opening soon: pick your own blueberry fields.
